Privacy Policy

This policy covers goodriddancegolf.com and the pre-order checkout we send you to. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, write to support@goodriddancegolf.com and a person will answer it.

What we collect

Only three things, and each one only because you handed it to us.

• Your email address, if you join the list. That is the only field on the form.
• Your order details, if you pre-order: name, email address, shipping address, quantity, and the amount paid.
• Standard web server records, which our host keeps automatically when any browser loads any page: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request.

We do not collect your payment card number, and we never see it. Card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor, and are handled entirely on their systems. What comes back to us is a confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand.

What we do not do

There is no advertising pixel on this site and no analytics service running on it. No Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Ads tag, no Google Analytics. We set no cookies of our own, we build no advertising profiles, and we do not follow you to other websites.

To be precise about it, because precision is the point of this page: the site does ship with a small piece of code that is capable of switching a measurement tool on. It is switched off. While it is off, your browser makes no request to any analytics or advertising company. If we ever switch one on, this page changes in the same deploy and this paragraph is where you will read about it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done either, and if that ever changes we will say so here before it happens, not after.

Why we hold it

• Your email address so we can tell you when the drop ships and when the next one opens. At most one email a month.
• Your order details so we can make the hat, send the hat, answer questions about the hat, and issue a refund if you want one.
• Server records so the site stays up and does not get abused.

Who else touches it

Each of these does one job and is bound by its own published terms.

• Netlify hosts this site and receives the list sign-up form. Their privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
• Stripe processes payments and collects your shipping address at checkout. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this page. Loading a font means your browser requests a file from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.

When we begin fulfilling orders we will use a printer and a shipping carrier, who will receive your name and shipping address for the sole purpose of getting the package to you. We will name them here once they are engaged.

Beyond that, nobody. We do not rent, trade, or hand your information to anyone for their own purposes. The one exception is the ordinary one: if we are legally required to produce it, we will, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

How long we keep it

Email addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, and then they are deleted. Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, which is generally seven years, because that part is not our choice. Server logs are retained on our host's standard schedule.

Getting off the list, or out of our records

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and it works on the first click. You can also write to support@goodriddancegolf.com and ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete it, subject to the accounting records we are required to keep,
• send you a copy in a portable format.

We will confirm within a few days and complete the request within 30 days. We will not charge you for it, we will not make you create an account to do it, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If we need to verify that the request is really yours, we will do that using the email address already on file rather than asking you for more information.

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, those rights are yours by statute and the paragraph above is how you exercise them. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is no opt-out link to give you.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, and never reaches our systems. The customer information we do hold sits inside the accounts of the providers named above, protected by strong unique passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfect and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something, but if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you directly and promptly.

Children

This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

Where we are

Good Riddance Golf operates from the United States, and information collected through this site is stored and processed there. We currently ship within the United States only.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the effective date at the top and, for anything that actually affects you, email the list rather than quietly editing the page and hoping nobody notices.
